Rowan baby blanket and a hockey scarf

Hello Knitters.

I love knitting. I love the comfort and warmth you feel when sitting with a blanket and using your needles. The relaxing rhythm and beautiful results.
I finished the Baby Blanket with Lace Pattern by Drops this weekend. The yarn is Rowan Glace in the Baked Red colorway. (Ravelry link here.) My friend does not want to find out the sex so this colorway is perfect for either boy are girl. I hope she loves it as much as I love her! We are so happy for their new arrival, I cannot wait!
My son is a HUGE fan of hockey. He loves his practice, pretend to play every free second he has and watches hockey on TV with his all the time. He has hockey socks for over his shin guards. They are in the colors of his team, blue/green/white. He has been asking for a scarf to match his socks. How can you say no to that!
It is going really fast and the colors match really well with his hockey sock. My first project on needle size 8 in a long time. I am hoping I can finish it in a week and he can wear it for his last month of practice before summer break. Of course, his dad now wants a matching scarf as well.

I am still reading Parched by Z. L. Arkadie. Honestly, it is pretty awful. The plot is boring and very predictable. However, I have not finished my last 2 books so I will gut it out and finish it. Then I think I will try The Hobbit and then The Lord of The Rings.

I'll be joining Ginny and Frontier Dreams this week. Take care.

  1. Awesome! you have to love when they ask for something specifically. Makes it all worthwhile.
